CONGRATULATIONS to Oliver Dugmore on his Passing In Parade to the Royal Navy, HMS Raleigh, in March of this year.
The day was attended by his family and friends. It was a day to remember, because during his eight weeks of training, Oliver's division won every event they had to do, making them guard of honour for this very special occasion.
Oliver started his young life at Saundersfoot Junior School which he loved. Halfway through this school he turned to the church and was soon Rev. Mike Butler's right hand altar boy, where he stayed for four years, going with the church choir to many different functions.
Greenhill School was his next port of call, where he soon made himself known to rugby. He went with the school to South Africa to play; also to Ireland.
On leaving Greenhill, he went into catering and did his NVQ 2 at the Lighthouse in Saundersfoot. He then left and went to Folly Farm for a season.
He did like it there, but felt the call of the Navy was much stronger, as he has always loved boats and the sea, and was a junior member of Saundersfoot Sailing Club.
He was also a member of Saundersfoot Bowling Club and was a very keen bowler. playing for his club and at county level also.
Oliver is doing well with his catering and is already classed as a second chef. He also plays rugby for the Navy.
Well done and good luck with everything you do.
