Pembroke Town Council recently held a shop window competition within the town of Pembroke, asking shopkeepers to decorate their windows with a Nativity scene.

Children from Golden Grove School and Monkton Priory CP School also got involved, with over 30 scenes displayed in and around Pembroke. Many thanks go to those who got involved.

Joint first prize went to The Cutting Room and Haven Coffee Shop, with second prize going to Assancie and third to Harris Bassett Chartered Accountants.

The Mayor of Pembroke, Clr. Pauline Waters, visited assemblies at both schools where she presented each class with a certificate for taking part and a £100 cheque for each school.

Clr. Waters commented: “It was a delight to see all of the Nativities displayed, sending out the true meaning of Christmas.”
