This week is National Volunteers' Week and Age Concern Pembrokeshire would like to take this opportunity to thank all their volunteers who work so hard delivering services to older people throughout the county. Age Concern Pembrokeshire is the only local charity specifically to support and promote the wellbeing of older people resident throughout the county. They aim to provide services that enable older people to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible; provide specialist help, including advocacy, to ensure that vulnerable people are represented and in receipt of all benefits and care to which they are entitled; demonstrate and promote the value of older people in Pembrokeshire as a resource and benefit to the county. Age Concern Pembrokeshire needs many more volunteers to deliver services and also to work in the office. They provide training and full support, including paying any out of pocket expenses. If you are interested in finding out more about Age Concern Pembrokeshire and becoming a volunteer, please phone Sally on 01437 769972 or call in to their office at 2A Holloway, Haverfordwest.
