CONGRATULATIONS to Natalie Hunt, of Tenby, who has been selected as a violinist in the Under 13s National Children's Orchestra for 2004.
Auditions were held throughout the United Kingdom in September and October, with over 700 children competing.
In the spring of this year, Natalie, whilst attending Tenby Junior School, took the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music grade five examination and passed with distinction.
In June, Natalie, as part of a trio, won the Classical Ensemble competition at the Texaco Pembrokeshire Primary Schools' Instrumental Festival and also in November, now in a quartet, won the Pembrokeshire Secondary Schools' Classical Ensemble competition for grade eight and below, with both groups taught by Richard Tiller.
Natalie has recently moved to Greenhill School, where she is taught by Rebecca Whitehurst, and is a member of both the school and symphony orchestras.
The National Children's Orchestra will perform four major concerts in the UK next year, culminating in a Christmas concert in London at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, South Bank.
