Three members of the Tenby Flower Arranging Society recently travelled to Abergavenny to take part in the NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arranging Societies) Three Counties and South Wales Area Flower Festival at the Priory Church. The theme for the festival was 'Saints and Tapestries', and Tenby had been asked to portray St. Barbara, the patron saint of miners, firemen, gunners and lightning. The trio were congratulated on their research into the saint and their interpretation using a choice of flower colour to depict the various areas associated with her. Also taking part were members from the South Pembrokeshire Society who had been allocated St. Benizen, patron Saint of Bridges. They too were congratulated on their design.
