A Tenby hotel is to have its newly installed windows removed, after the owners ignored the advice of the Pembrokeshire National Park Authority who had previously refused permission for the application. Proprietors of the Southcliff Hotel in Victoria Street had sought approval for alterations and renovation to windows which included replacing timber windows with UPVC windows. However, during last month's meeting of the National Park's development management committee, members refused the application as the UPVC windows that the applicant had already installed did not meet the required criteria and made no attempt to reflect the character of the original windows. Officers will now take the necessary action to secure the removal of the installed UPVC windows.
