Sir, Having read in last week's Tenby Observer that the Gatehouse is to be demolished, there will be many ideas for the design of a replacement. Could a natonal competition be promoted for architects to submit initial plans for such replacement. Entries to be judged by yourself and say five distinguished persons experienced in design. The 'best of the present' could well be an appropriate replacement. The more I think about it, the more exciting it becomes.
