Tony Sawyer, who works as part of the Park House Court Nursing Home team in Tenby, has become the first-ever recipient of the Royal College of Nursing's National Award for Health and Safety.
At the award ceremony, Tony was praised for his contribution to health and safety within the care sector, and his delivery of related training, from workshops through to senior accredited qualifications.
It has also been noted that he is happy to support other local businesses with their training needs, as demonstrated recently as part of the training team that delivered the Pembrokeshire County Council's Induction Framework.
The advantage of working with Tony is that he is not required to charge commercial rates, and he talks from real hands-on experience.
He supports the RCN, and encourages all nurses and carers to join, because "not only do you have a specialist union in case of need, but a level of professional support that is growing and is unequalled in the health care sector."
