Narberth Youth 34 pts. Milford Haven nil
Narberth Youth bounced back from last week's narrow defeat at home to a strong Whitland side with an emphatic win away to Milford Haven. Playing against the breeze in the first half, the young Otters soon opened the scoring with a try which was converted by utility back Tom Richards, who stood in for Gethin Salter at fullback. Leading by 15 points at the interval, the visitors dominated the second half and, after taking on board some sound advice by head coach Rob Phillips, it was business as usual for the young Otters. The young Milford team battled really hard, making some strong and bruising tackles. However, during the last quarter Narberth proved just too strong for them and ran out winners by 34 points. Dan Jenkins crossed for two tries, with others being scored by Rion Whatmore, Gareth Jones and Jack Parsells. All-round sportsman Tom Richards converted three of the tries. After the match, the Narberth team manager, Paul Done, said: "The coaches were very pleased with this result. We must commend both sides who participated in this well-disciplined game and all of the Narberth boys will be switched on for our game with Tenby United Youth at home next week."
