This weekend, Narberth Town Council is delighted to invite residents and visitors to join the Mayor of Narberth, Councillor Elizabeth Rogers, for the annual Mayor’s Civic Service.
The Civic Service (held on Sunday, July 19) is one of the town’s most significant civic occasions, bringing together representatives of local organisations, neighbouring councils, community groups and residents to celebrate the spirit of public service and the people who make Narberth such a special place. Everyone is warmly welcome to attend.
The Civic Procession will assemble outside the Queen’s Hall from 10am and will set off at approximately 10.15am. The procession will follow the route: Spring Gardens > Landsker Cross > St James Street > Market Square > High Street > Queen’s Hall
Residents are encouraged to line the route and join us in welcoming the civic party as it makes its way through the town before returning to the Queen’s Hall for the service.
Please note that a temporary rolling road closure will be in operation while the procession passes.
A spokesperson for Narberth Town Council stated: “We thank motorists and residents for their patience and understanding during this short period.
“The Civic Service will begin at 10.30am at Grace Church, Queen’s Hall, Narberth.
“The service will include music, readings, reflections and civic dedications, together with an opportunity to recognise the commitment of those who serve our community.
“Whether you regularly attend civic events or are joining us for the first time, we would be delighted to welcome you.
“We look forward to seeing you on Sunday as we celebrate our community together.”
