Part of the Narberth Town Moor car park has lost its common land status, it was revealed this week.
However, extra village green status has been awarded to the lower part of the playing area of the moor.
This application was made by the county council some two years ago.
Said County Councillor Wynne Evans: "The delay has been mainly caused by a new minister being appointed in the Welsh Assembly last year, and various portfolio changes.
"The area which is no longer village green is from part of the entrance from the car park, running along the sides of the garages on the Town Moor and to the rear of the Queen's Hall, while new village green status has been added to the lower playing area of the moor directly behind Garfield Gardens.
"If anyone is unsure of anything relating to this matter, I'm happy if they want to contact me; also I have the new plans available at the Span office."
