People making a noise and urinating in the street will be one of the focuses for the Narberth Neighbourhood Policing Team this month. At their recent forum meeting, residents highlighted issues of people congregating in the Market Square, Water Street and Back Lane areas of Narberth in the early hours of the morning, mainly on Friday and Saturdays. The complaint was in particular of the noise and bad language and people urinating in public places and bottles being left out in the street. The neighbourhood policing team will increase patrols in the area and positive action taken against offenders. The team also informed residents that they had carried out regular patrols in Station Approach and had visited people who were parking their vehicles illegally or causing an obstruction. Residents said they were happy with the action taken and felt the problems had lessened as a result. The team said it would continue to monitor the problem of illegal parking in the town in particular in the High Street/St. James Street and Northfield Road area. So far, 18 tickets and over 50 warning notices have been issued to illegally parked vehicles. The next forum meeting is taking place on August 28 at 7 pm at the Bloomfield Centre, Narberth.
