A Narberth Rotarian has described a visit to the Coronation Garden Party at Buckingham Palace as a ‘pinch me moment’.
Following the King’s Coronation celebrations over the weekend, His Majesty Charles III invited Mary Adams and her husband Huw to the Palace on Tuesday joined by many others to mark the occasion.

Mary who will become the first Rotarian from the Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club to be District Governor of Southern Wales, and is also a trustee of the Living Memory Charity in Narberth, said: “Wow wow wow - if ever there was a pinch me moment in our lives - it was day we will never forget!
“We felt very honoured to be there, it's got to be said it was the nicest tastiest afternoon tea we have ever had.
“There were 8,000 people there. The Palace dealt with the queues on entrance very efficiently - they are well used to catering for these numbers as there are four annually,” continued Mary, who also runs Powerpix Photography, and managed to get some great up and close snaps of the Royals enjoying the day.

“We were lucky to get close up views of The Prince and Princess of Wales and when asked by the Duke of Edinburgh where we we from, I said Pembrokeshire and he said ‘Oh Pembrokeshire that's nice!’
“The sandwiches and cakes were delicious including of course the Coronation chicken.
“Attending the Coronation Garden Party was a real honour and privilege to be representing Rotary in Pembrokeshire and Southern Wales,” added Mary.
