Crymych 3 pts. Narberth Athletic 16

Narberth Athletic regained the Gareth Edwards Memorial Shield, for the first time since 2001, in the annual Boxing Day fixture after a period of domination by the Crymych team in recent seasons. An outstanding performance by the Narberth pack gave the Athletic team the possession to win the match. Narberth Athletic led by 10-3 at the interval following two unconverted tries scored by hooker Gethin Beynon and winger Tom Cummings, respectively. Crymych scrum-half Huw Rees kicked one penalty in reply for his team. In the second half, on a bitterly cold afternoon, excellent defence by the visitors kept Crymych at bay and outside-half Mike Georgiou increased the Narberth lead with two penalties to put the game out of reach.
