On Tuesday five classmates from Narberth CP School had the brilliant idea of raising money for the animals affected by the bushfires in Australia.

They asked their headteacher Mrs. Ward if they would be allowed to make and sell cakes in school at break time.

The children (pictured) Isaac, Iris, Mali, Jack and Ffion helped to bake and decorate cupcakes at home. Mali made animal cupcakes.

The five of them sold their cakes at break time to the children, teachers and parents after school.

They are delighted to have raised a whooping £224.80 to send to the animals in need from the bushfires in Australia. Well done boys and girls.
