A 1,800-signature petition against pay and display car parking charges being introduced at Narberth's Town Moor car park is to be handed to Pembrokeshire County Council. Said County Councillor Wynne Evans: "Narberth is very different to other car parks in the county as it is classed as Village Green and Pembrokeshire County Council has applied to the Welsh Assembly Government for this status to be given up so car parking charges can be put in place. "I have contacted the Minister responsible directly, and I just hope that the strong feeling and overwhelming support I have received locally will help and that Narberth's car park will remain totally free of charge."
