Pembrokeshire County Council is investigating a graffiti attack in Narberth. In two locations in the town, 'danger loose paving' has been sprayed on the pavements in white paint with arrows pointing to the alleged offending slabs. "We can't condone this and if we find the person responsible, we intend prosecuting them and recovering our costs for removing the offending words," said Len Mullins, the authority's press and public relations officer. As a result of the incident, the local authority has conducted a pavement survey around the town. They only found two flagstones which required attention and they were repaired within an hour. "The slabs that were highlighted by the graffiti, however, did not impinge on our code of practice for highway maintenance," added Mr. Mullins. "We will be taking action to remove the offending words and making investigations into tracing the person responsible."
