NARBERTH BAPTIST FELLOWSHIP Our lives are so busy and especially at Christmas. By the time we've filled our lives with housework, football, games, internet, shopping, TV, our lives are so very crowded. I don't know anybody who has 'spare time' on their hands. If only we have the time and the room in our minds to get all done and finished. It must have been very much the same that first Christmas so long ago. Everyone had to go to the place of their birth in order to be taxed - so Mary and Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem. When they arrived, with Mary heavily pregnant, there was no room at the inn. Looking back, we may find ourselves thinking that if the innkeeper had known that Mary was about to give birth to the Saviour of the world, he would have made room. Unlike the inkeeper we do know who He is. So, this Christmas will we make room for the reason behind the season. Is there room in our hearts for Jesus? NBF meet 6.30 pm next Sunday, December 23, in the chapel at Pant-y-Gorphwys Farmhouse for Carols by Candlelight - a happy Christmas everyone.

Grace Church Coming home for Christmas. A story is told of a man who telephoned his two children the week prior to Christmas. He told his daughter that after 30 years of marriage her mother and father were divorcing. His daughter immediately phoned her brother and they agreed to travel Christmas eve, stay for a few days and speak to their parents to try and bring reconciliation. She phoned her parents with the news, to which the father, on hanging up the phone, said to his wife, 'it worked, the kids are coming home for Christmas'. I do not know if that story is true, but it sounds true, and concern goes to any who may be in a similar predicament this Christmas. Though the message appears to be, if you want harmony in your family, do not deceive your children. Coming home for Christmas, one thinks of the prodigal son, who we could describe went through four seasons in his life. A season of autumn, when he departed from his father's house, for whatever reason, and struck out on his own. In time he experienced a winter in his life, began to realise who his real friends were, and longed for his father's house. A new season began with the key to the whole story 'he came to his senses'. There was no need to go searching for him, until in his life he had come to his senses. That was the turning point, and spring-time in his life. Summer opens with the reunion as he comes home, and his father is coming to greet him. There is the elder brother syndrome, one who had been around longer and resents those who have returned being so warmly welcomed. We all need to come home this Christmas. Come home to family. Come home to God. Come home to God's plan for your life. Grace Church are an all age evangelical church that amongst other things, meet every Sunday morning in Narberth. On Sundays, December 23 and 30, they will meet at the Court House, Market Square, Narberth, at 10.30 am. Liberty Cafe will be open from 10 am to serve coffee. A church reformed and always reforming, you are most welcome to attend and celebrate Christmas with us. RFC SUPPORTERS CLUB Christmas Turkey Draw
