Married recently at the Holyland Hotel, Pembroke, were Mr. Gavin Nicholas and Miss Bridie Evans. The groom, a sales consultant with Jewsons in Pembroke, is the eldest son of Richard and Shirley Nicholas, of 4 Coxhill, Narberth, while the bride, a senior day nursery assistant at Bright Start Nursery (Pembrokeshire College), is the middle daughter Susan Evans and the late Antony Evans of 4 East Back, Pembroke. Given away by her brother David Evans, the bride wore an elegant straight chiffon gown with beading and crystals flowing into a semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses. Page boys were Lewis Hallet (nephew) and Alex Boswell (best friend's son). Best man was Scott Payne, while ushers were Paul and Jason Nicholas (groom's brothers) and Paul Jarvis (friend). The wedding service was conducted by Joy Walker. The couple, who are spending their honeymoon in Cayo Island, Cuba, will be making their future home in Pembroke.
