Narberth's festive illuminations were described as the best in the county this week.

In giving the annual report of Narberth Town Council's christmas lights sub-committee to fellow councillors on Tuesday night, Clr. Wynne Evans said everyone had been 'delighted' with the display.

"They were by far the best display in the whole county," he said, outlining various problems incurred.

Clr. Evans, who said fund-raising for the lights would be taking place throughout the year, also thanked all the householders and businesses for entering the Christmas lights competition and asked for a letter to be sent to the proprietor of the Jelly Egg at the Town Hall for accepting the entries.
