A group of knitters from the Lee Davies Day Centre in Narberth have been clicking their knitting needles recently making 50 colourful jumpers and 10 warm blankets for overseas charities. The group were inspired by a pattern from Save the Children and presented their knitted items to Narberth and Whitland Inner Wheel Club on Monday.

President Pearl Holding, overseas officer Elaine Bradbury and members June John and Marjorie Harries picked up the woolies which will now be handed to the Inner Wheel's area overseas officer in Carmarthen, Eiddwen Davies, for onward distribution to overseas charities, including Save the Children.

Members of the knitting group - Muriel Howell, Glenys Lewis, Violet Temple, Joan Cooper, Dilys Evans, Shirley Roberts, Betty Stroud, Cath Skop - are seen with day centre manager Gwyneth Johns and care assistants Julie Phillips and Joyce Scourfield and the representatives of the Inner Wheel Club. Missing were knitters Phoebe Vincent and Iris Stephens.
