A plan for a major residential development in Narberth was put on hold by county planners this week.

The proposal by Mr. Graham Perfect for 46 dwellings at the Old Mart Ground in the town's Spring Gardens was deferred at Pembrokeshire County Council's planning and rights of way committee meeting on Tuesday for clarification with Welsh Water regarding the sewerage system.

The application, which has received strong objections from the town council and people living nearby, seeks a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses and bungalows with access from Spring Gardens. It had been recommended for approval, subject to conditions.
