The level of housing in Narberth is expected to increase by 25 per cent in the next five to six years. A total of 233 houses have been identified to be built in the town in the Joint Unitary Development Plan, published by Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. And that figure does not include the current building work taking place or the development of the Mart Ground and various other sites, county councillor Wynne Evans informed members of the town council at their monthly meeting on Tuesday night. "The possible growth in the town is quite alarming," Clr. Evans said. "We must question the infrasture of the town," he continued, suggesting a member of the county council's planning department be invited to a future council meeting to explain what was going on. Fellow town council members agreed.
