The 'culinary capital of west Wales' - Narberth - promises Mediterranean flavours as well as home- grown talent to Pembrokeshire during the 2007 Narberth Food Festival.
This, the ninth festival, which is organised by a group of enthusiastic volunteers, takes place this weekend, September 22 and 23, and is set to bring an eclectic mix of food, entertainment, cooking demonstrations and food-related talks to the town. One of Wales' best-known chefs, Gareth Johns, of the Wynnstay Arms, Machynlleth, will be providing an insight into his food philosophy as he cooks in the Food Theatre on festival Sunday, and professional food forager, Yun Hider, will be sharing some of his secrets of tracking down food from the wild.
