On October 29, Narberth Famous Fund-Raisers held their annual presentation day at the Farmers Arms in Narberth. This is the fifth year the fund-raising has continued for local causes. The total amount raised so far is over £36,000. This year was a quieter year for the fund-raisers, but they still managed to raise £2,700. This started on January 1, with John 'Pip' Phillips and Amy and Jessica Shakesby taking part in the New Year's Day Swims in Saundersfoot, Wiseman's Bridge and Amroth. In August, the annual grasstrack event was held at Redstone Farm, Narberth, by kind permission of the Lewis family. This was followed by the annual Edward Price Memorial Cricket Match on August Bank Holiday, when all the local pubs and clubs competed in a six-a-side cricket knockout. If anyone would like to be considered for their efforts in 2007, please write to Mrs. Alison Mills, Dawnleigh, 17 Bloomfield Gardens, Narberth.
