Early tries by lock Chris Thomas and centre Arwel Davies, one of which was converted by outside-half Andrew Webster, gave the visitors a lead of 12 points after 20 minutes. Gradually the Narberth team started to dominate possession and clawed back six points with two penalties by winger Dai Thomas. An unconverted try by full-back Tim Plumb narrowed the gap between the teams to one point. In the second half, Narberth continued to have the edge up front, but could not break through the defence of the Drovers, who scored a further unconverted try during injury time. Lock Alex Jenkins was nominated the Narberth man-of-the-match by the team management, and Fifitipuku Faletau also had a fine game when he came out of retirement to plug a gap in the Narberth team.
