Inspired by the Beijing Olympics, 1st Narberth Cub Scouts recently took part in a sponsored bike ride at the Carmarthen Velodrome.
As part of their Chief Scout's Silver Award, 10-year-old Cub Scouts Jacob Small and Donald Bennett, helped to arrange the event, during which the pack completed nearly 250 laps of the circuit, cycling a distance of 62 miles.
"We got a bit tired towards the end, but it was really good fun and great to raise so much money," said Jacob.
The event raised over £200 and this money will benefit both Water Aid and the Scout pack.
1st Narberth Cub Scouts would like to thank Selwyn Thomas, of Carmarthen Town Council, and Neil Hunt, of Carmarthen Cycling Club, for all their help in making the event possible.
1st Narberth Cubs meet every Thursday at the Scout Hall in Narberth at 6.15 pm.
