A bench was recently placed in Narberth's Charles Salmon Memorial Garden in memory of Mr. Edward Price. Edward, who passed away suddenly in May of this year, was a well-liked and respected character, not only to the people of Narberth, but to everyone who had met him. Edward's family and friends would like to thank all those who kindly gave their time to making this memorial bench possible, namely: Malcolm McPhee and Fred Beeken, for donating the timber; Jones Brothers construction and Roger Lewis for laying the concrete base and securing the bench; and Bugols of Narberth for the superb job of making the bench to a very high standard. All the above kindly gave their services for free. All monies that have been kindly donated will now go to buying equipment for Narberth Health Centre in memory of Edward. On August 28, Bank Holiday weekend, there will be a charity inter-pub cricket match at Narberth cricket ground, organised by the Narberth Famous Fundraisers, in memory of Edward.
