In the second round of the Harrison Allen bowl, sponsored by Graham Jewson, Narberth travelled to St. Ishmaels and scored 104 for 8. Michael Scale had a stylish innings of 40, playing shots all around the wicket, before being bowled by Andrew Williams, and the only other batsman in double figures was Wayne Howells with 20.

For the Tish team there were two wickets each for Andrew Williams, Steven Williams and Kristan Bennett.

With two overs left, Tish needed 13 runs to win and Jonathan Pawlett proved to be the man of the moment with Michael Symons at the other end as the pair got the runs in the 21st over which was bowled by Richard Howell.

After bowling tightly from the road end, Howell found it more difficult when he switched ends and Pawlett ended with 45 not out. He had an important fourth wicket stand of 30 with skipper Glyn Griffiths and there had been other useful contributions from Andrew Williams with 20, with both Steven Williams and Andrew Palmer also reaching double figures.

Haverfordwest had an easy 10-wicket win at home to Stackpole, who were dismissed for 68. Phillip Kirkby took 3 for 19 and Stephen Phillips 3 for 20. Phil Sutton and Jonathan Twigg soon knocked off the winning runs, with Sutton ending with 48 not out from 37 deliveries.
