Narberth Rotarians Huw and Mary Adams have been representing Wales on the world stage.

The couple who are members of Narberth and Whitland Rotary have travelled to Orlando in the US this month, as part of a world-wide delegation of 500 Rotarians who will each be a District Governor from July 1, 2023.

“We have met some amazing people, some I have no doubt will be friends for life,” said Mary.

“At the International Assembly it's been intense training but an absolute pleasure and a privilege. When you are a Rotarian you have friends all over the globe. Feeling humble and grateful to be given the opportunity to represent Rotary in Southern Wales and my own club Narberth and Whitland Rotary,” she continued.

At the International Assembly, mental health was highlighted.

“Our theme for 2023/ 24 is certainly one I'm passionate about,” explained Mary.

“The most important one for me to Create Hope in the World is 'We need to discuss mental health on the same platform as physical health'.

“This theme is me and I'm going to do my best to make a real difference to change peoples perception of mental health in our district.”
