Members quietly reflected.
This was followed by the business meeting, with Lynn reporting on the Inner Wheel conference at Bournemouth. Over 2,000 members attended and enjoyed listening to Rosie Swale Pope, who spent five years travelling around the world. Her story is told in her book 'Just a little run around the World'. There were many other speakers at the conference, all of whom were very inspiring, including Adam Henderson (Country File).
On April 12, several members attended Saundersfoot Inner Wheel International evening. It was very enjoyable (the selection of desserts was amazing).
The remainder of the business meeting concluded and Lyn introduced the speaker, Geraldine Leach from 'Transition Narberth'. Geraldine belongs to the Transition Narberth Food and Allotment group and they have been very active planting over 140 fruit and nut trees in many sites around Narberth.
The project aims to produce fruit and nut trees as a free source of fresh food for the community within walking distance of their homes for generations to come.
The meeting concluded with president Lynn presenting a cheque to Geraldine towards the project.
