We'll start at the bottom this week and say well done to the Stanley B who recorded their first vistory against local rivals Lawrenny Sports with a big 7-2 win (cheer up Beany). Another local derby saw Cresselly move up the league after their win over the Jeffreyston A, while team on form, Narberth RAOB A, scored big over the Hean.

Meanwhile, the chasing teams for the top spot seem to be taking points off each other, while Kilgetty RAOB are in cruise control with a full quota of points after their recent win at the Temple Bar A.

Other results saw the Dragon A yet again lose by the odd frame, this time at the Bush Robeston; the Greenbridge A pulled out a big win to put the brakes on the SSSC A team, while the Dingle saw a 3-0 lead turn into defeat at the hands of the unpredictable Station House A.

The B League saw the top four teams all winning, with the Whitland Dairies scoring a big 7-2 over the Eagle, Kilgetty RAOB B with a bigger 8-1 over Kilgetty Sports, Iron Duke over the Bush Llan and the RAOB B down at the Jeff B. The other matches ended in 5-4 last frame wins for the Cross Clarby over the Wisemans and Temple Bar B at SSSC B.

The C League is still looking interesting as top team White Horse A made it a straight eight wins at the Stanley A, while the big match saw Station House A recover well from the previous week's defeat to inflict a heavy score on the much-fancied Alpha A. Whitland Bowls moved back to third after a win at the Dragon B, while the Taf are still in touch after a close match at the White Horse B.

At the bottom, a somewhat different looking Begelly Arms managed to beat Narberth RFC, while the Sporting Chance picked up a much-needed win against Greenbridge B. The other result saw the Alpha B move into mid-table after a win over Cross Broadmoor.

Many thanks to the captain of Kilgetty RAOB B, Dewi Lewis, who noticed that I got the fixtures wrong (I am human), mixing their fixtures with KSSC. This luckily only affects two weeks when the matches between KSSC v Kilgetty RAOB B and Kilgetty RAOB A v Bush Robeston will have to be reversed.

This Sunday sees the all-important first round of the singles taking place at 16 venues. Players are reminded about start times on the sheets and that they only have to play their one match (best of five) to qualify (it's not in groups). Captains and Landlords are asked to make sure the tables are brushed, level and open.
