THE charm of Tenby is one of the places that has taken an early lead as the Countryside Council searches for Wales' most special places. The Countryside Council for Wales launched its My Special Place Web Map a month ago to create a national picture of where people go, ideally a stone's throw from their homes, to enjoy nature's peace and quiet. The first top 10 results, revealed this week, show Tenby in second place, just behind Snowdon, and ahead of Aberystwyth, which lies in third spot. Elsewhere in Pembrokeshire, St. Davids is in fifth place. If you have other ideas and want to influence the list, the Countryside Council for Wales wants to know where you go to get that natural buzz or fix of fresh air.
