If only I was an artist
I would show my pictures true
To put my work on paper
Just to show my love for you.
My pictures would hang in big houses
In bursts of colour and pride
But my love for you would be forever
Something I could never hide.
We met when we were youngsters
All those many years ago
Your smile means so much to me
More than you’ll ever know
And as the years go on between us
And your beauty mellows with age
Our life together will be a picture
Like a book that’s nearly ended
To that very final page
Bob Lowe,
Tenby
