The Rev. Jonathan Copus was licensed as priest in charge of the Maenclochog group of parishes recently by the Right Rev. Carl Cooper, Bishop of St. Davids. This is an unusual appointment as Jonathan has been 'flown in' to serve a six-month period with a view to preparing the parish for a new vicar, hopefully later in the year. Jonathan lives in Clunderwen, and as well as being a priest is an accomplished musician and inventor. He has also had a great dal of experience as a broadcaster on radio and TV. The Maenclochog group of churches includes Maenclochog, Henry's Moat, Mynachlogddu, Llangloman, New Moat and Llys-Y-Fran.
