Gareth Holden, the St. Issell's Church organist, recently hosted a musical evening to raise money for church funds.
In the 100th anniversary of the First War World, the theme of the evening was remembrance of that conflict.
Gareth showcased his classical digital piano and, with the help of its many sound effects, took the audience back to the battlefields of the Somme.
During the evening, Gareth was joined by Hugh Rowlands, reading poems by Wilfred Owen, and Tudor Hurle on the harp.
Gareth's repertoire included pieces by Debussy, Haydn, Joplin and Mendelssohn.
Tudor, who at the age of 12 has only been playing for three years, held the audience spellbound with a selection of pieces and is evidently already becoming an accomplished performer.
The church is grateful to Gareth for organising such an enjoyable evening and were delighted when over £450 was raised for church funds.
