Congratulations to the following music pupils of Helen Standing who have had a very successful spring term: Charlotte Treharne - ABRSM grade 7 flute (merit), Llewys Howells - LCM Music Theatre grade 3 (distinction), Lydia Rooke - LCM pop vocals grade 4 (merit) and in the Trinity Guildhall examinations: Amy Taylor - grade 1 flute (distinction), Lucy Gleed - grade 2 singing (merit), Tom Kidney - grade 1 drum kit (merit), Jenny Price - grade 2 drum kit, Gethin Davies - grade 2 drum kit, Daniel Billett - grade 4 drum kit, Ryan Hill - grade 4 drum kit, William Cope - grade 2 piano, Sam Attwell - grade 1 piano. In preparation for their exams, Helen runs a Medals Award Scheme to encourage pupils to develop their technical abilities and knowledge of scales. Chloe Parry (violin) acheived her silver medal and bronze medals were awarded to flute pupils Amy Taylor and Rebekah Chatwin and piano students Sophia Kaparty, Alex Banfi, Maisie Price, Emile Isopescu, Maziah and Maznah Mohammed. Congratulations also to Ben Turner for coming 3rd in the woodwind grade 4 competition sponsored by Chevron. A big thankyou to all who worked so hard with ensemble and solo performances at the Saundersfoot WI Pudding Evening and Hebron Baptist Church on Sunday mornings.
