Talented young violinist Robbie Godwin crowned a remarkable few months by scooping the top solo prize at the recent Texaco sponsored Primary Schools Music Festival in Haverfordwest for the second time in three years.
Eleven-year-old Robbie, a pupil at St. Florence School, picked up the trophy for overall winner at the festival, to add to his trophy as best performer in the Open Strings - titles he also won in 2000.
The achievements were the icing on the cake for the successful young musician from Amroth, who has also picked up the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot title of Young Musician of the Year and the Sister Cecilia Memorial Shield for Junior School Strings since the end of April.
A pupil of Mr. Richard Tiller, Robbie has been learning the violin since the age of six and is currently studying for grade six.
