Pembroke Castle have announced that an incredible line-up of Status Quo, Bonnie Tyler and Dr Feelgood will perform at Rock The Castle in June next year.
Now in its 6th year, Rock The Castle has become one of the most popular live music events in west Wales with the likes of UB40, The Fratellis, and Jools Holland all having played sell-out shows in the stunning 1,000 year old fortress in the past few years. 2019 looks set to be the biggest and most popular Rock The Castle yet with a stellar line-up of rock and roll legends taking to the stage.
On Friday, June 21, Status Quo, one of Britain’s most iconic rock bands, will headline and fans will be treated to a set jam packed with their huge catalogue of chart toppers. Led by founding band member Francis Rossi, OBE, their plethora of hits include ‘Whatever You Want’, ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’, ‘The Wanderer’, ‘In The Army Now’ and many more.
Earlier in the evening, ‘Very Special Guest’, Welsh rock royalty Bonnie Tyler and her full band, will perform her long list of chart toppers including ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart’, ‘It’s a Heartache’ and ‘Holding Out For A Hero’.
Opening the evening, and completing the line-up, will be Dr Feelgood, who enjoyed global success with hits such as ‘Milk and Alcohol’, ‘Roxette’ and ‘She Does It Right’ and are still one of the UK’s most popular and exciting R&B acts.
Castle Manager Jon Williams commented ‘This is the best line-up we’ve had so far, and as far as I know it is the first time that either Status Quo or Bonnie Tyler have performed in Pembrokeshire, let alone on the same night! We’ve had such a positive response to the weekend in previous years and that has encouraged us to really go for it in 2019. It’s important that our locals and visitors alike get the chance to enjoy world-class live music in a setting such as this, so we’re now looking forward to delivering another memorable weekend’.
The line-up for Saturday, June 22 will be announced on Pembroke Castle’s website and Facebook page on Monday, November 12, and for those who want to attend both nights there will be a limited number of ‘Two Night Package’ tickets available.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 am on Monday, November 19 and will be available at www.pembrokecastle.co.uk by calling 01646 681510 and over the counter at Pembroke Castle Gift Shop.
