There will be a concert with a difference at St. Mary's Church, Haverfordwest, on Friday, October 24, at 7.30 pm.

You will be able to hear the popular music of Tudor and Elizabethan times played on a wide range of old instruments by La Volta, Pembrokeshire's early music group.

The instruments will include flute, pibgorn, shawm, bagpipe, rebec, harp, symphony, crumhorn and racket.

As usual, members of the group will provide background information regarding the instruments and members of the audience will be welcome to come and see the instruments at close hand at the end of the concert.

Mulled wine and delicacies prepared from medieval recipes will be available during the interval.

If you fancy being taken back to the 16th century do go along for what promises to be an informative and entertaining evening. Admission is £5 (concession £3).
