On Wednesday, November 17, the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot, was alive with music, fashion and glamour when SI Tenby and District hosted a charity fashion show. Club president, Mrs. Jan Griffiths, welcomed a full house, and told them that her chosen charities for the evening were, the Wales Air Ambulance and the Travel Fund for Sick Children. She was, she said, quite certain that they were in for a most enjoyable evening and then handed the proceedings over to the compere, Mrs. Liz Storey. The show, choreographed by Mrs. Catrin Griffiths and with music supplied by Mr. Denis Merrix, began with the models wearing outfits for Christmas Eve, and this set the theme for the night with clothes for Christmas Day, that evening, bedtime, Boxing Day and, of course, a dinner dance. The clothes for the evening were provided by T. P. Hughes and New Look and Anna and Cheryl had chosen outfits that suited the occasions perfectly. From beautiful winter coats, smart trouser suits, cosy anoraks, party wear - including flirty dresses for teens - to glamorous evening wear and nightwear, the audience appreciated each one. Many a voice was heard to say "I would like that outfit." The models from the Tenby club, T.P.s, New Look, Ladies Circle and Greenhill School Sixth Form, who had been expertly made up by Louise Walker, and had had their hair styled by Julie Morris, took to the catwalk like professionals and were all congratulated afterwards. During an interval, refreshments were available and a bumper raffle of luxury hampers was held. The latter, made up of food and toiletries, delighted their winners. The show was brought to a close with models parading in party mood with poppers and streamers. President Jan took the opportunity to present them with sprays of antirrhinums, bouquets to Liz, Catrin and Anna, and gifts of wine to Louise and Cheryl. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to them and to the dressers, the ladies who had coped with the refreshments, the raffle and the door, Mr. Keith Williams for all his help in setting up the Regency Hall before for the show and the audience for supporting and making the event such a success. She concluded by wishing everyone a 'happy festive season and a peaceful and healthy 2005'.
