A virtuoso acoustic guitar and vocals duo will be launching the new season of concerts at Burnett's Hill Chapel, Martletwy, next week (Wednesday, September 19). James Hickman and Chris Quinn, who perform as The Badgers, have merged the traditional styles of Gypsy jazz, blues, bluegrass and Celtic folk to create their own unique sound. They have recently returned from touring in Germany and the USA, and they perform regularly with violin legend Dan Cassidy, brother of the late and much-lamented Eva. The concert starts at 7.30 pm and tickets are available from the Pembroke Bookshop.
