Alex Lloyd, a Lower Sixth form student at Sir Thomas Picton School, Haverfordwest, has recently completed a week's work experience at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, organised by the Education Business Division of Careers Wales.

Alex, 16, spent an enjoyable five days, undertaking a variety of tasks at the museum, including participating in documenting part of the vast postcard collection; research for future displays; stock-taking; computer date recording and word-processing and working on the museum's process of in-house publications with particular reference to the museum's new edition of 'Fair and Fashionable Tenby.' This book, which takes a look at the town as a growing seaside resort over the past 200 years, is available from the museum shop.

At present, Alex is studying history, maths, French and economics at AS level. Following the completion of her A levels, she hopes to continue studying history at Nottingham University.
