St. Issell’s Church hosted a murder mystery evening at New Hedges Village Hall to raise money towards the weekly church upkeep.
Members of Saundersfoot Footlights presented the drama and provided a really entertaining evening for the audience. The drama was set in the 1920s and the audience were invited to solve the mystery by watching the drama unfold and also by questioning the actors.
This provided great hilarity and fun for the people there, who also enjoyed an excellent supper.
Rev. Marianne was on hand to welcome in church members, their friends and also people who had seen the event advertised and came along for a fun-filled evening.
Over £500 was raised for church funds which was a fantastic amount and gratefully received.
St. Issell’s is using modern technology to keep people informed of events and services and you can find them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Fundraising has to continue and the next event will be a coffee morning in the Regency Hall on Friday, August 19, and all will be welcome.
Saundersfoot in Bloom will be holding their annual flower festival in the church from August 16 to 20 and will close with a songs of praise on Saturday at 4 pm.
