Last Sunday, Sheila and Jason Cardy, along with son Logan Cardy, took part in the Cardiff Half Marathon.

Sheila, who had never done a half marathon before, made a promise that she would do it for her mum, Chris, who had passed away in August last year. The date of Chris’s birthday was also the same day as the half marathon, October 1.

Jason and Logan were with Sheila all the way, egging her on.

“What a great day,”said Sheila. “We hope to raise thousands of pounds for Paul Sartori who helped mum through her ordeal. And to think 25,000 people ran on what would have been mum’s birthday, that was amazing.”
