Advice, information, support and cups of tea will all be on offer at Simon Hart MP’s Fifty Plus Fair being held in Pembroke Dock on Wednesday, November 8.

The event is aimed at anyone aged over 50, their family, friends and carers and takes place at the Pater Hall between 10 am and 1 pm.

“We held a similar event in Tenby earlier this year and it was a great success with more than 100 visitors and 20 stallholders,” said Mr. Hart.

“Organisations including the fire brigade, British Red Cross, community transport experts and trading standards officers from the county council have all confirmed that they will be coming,” explained Mr. Hart.

As well as practical advice on matters such as pensions and rent, there will also be emotional support on offer from charities such as Shelter and West Wales Action on Mental Health.

Mr. Hart added: “An important part of the day last time was the socialising and there will be free tea, coffee and biscuits on offer once again so that people can have a catch up with friends as well as picking up useful advice and information.”
