Discussions over Penally’s public toilets coming under threat from closure have continued this month.

Last year, Pembrokeshire County Council enterted into discussions with various town and community councils across the county, with regards to them taking over responsibility and maintenance of many public conveniences, or the facilities would close due to budget saving cuts by the Local Authority.

At the recent meeting of the village’s Community Council, County Councillor for the ward Cllr Philip Kidney reported to members, in reference to the proposed closure of the public conveniences, that the toilets would remain open until end of May,

Consultation with the Community was ongoing members heard.

Cllr Snow reported that possible funding to support the toilets staying open was being considered.
