‘Williams, Crockford and Perry’ - not a local firm of solicitors, but the latest names to call it a day at Tenby town council.

On the eve of Tenby’s Mayor Making ceremony, the town council are on the look out for three new members after further resignations last month.

Within 48 hours of Mrs. Sarah Williams informing the town clerk at the town council’s most recent meeting that she would be standing down, two other members also handed in their notices.

Will Crockford stood down the following morning, less than a year after joining the town council, while Viv Perry who was only co-opted into the role in February, also resigned in the same week.

The town clerk has notified Pembrokeshire County Council, of two vacancies in the South ward and one in the North.

Clr. Tony Brown will officially be sworn in as Tenby’s 630th Mayor tomorrow (Friday) with a ceremony held in the Mayor’s Parlour, followed by a reception at the town’s De Valence Pavilion.
