Monkton Events Committee held their annual 'Monkton's Got Talent' competition on Saturday, July 7, at The Old Priory Inn.

The event was extremely well supported by local very talented children.

The judges were Stella Hooper (Milford Port Authority), PCSO's Kelly Jones and Emma Thomas and local resident Macca Hayes.

After the morning auditions, the best seven acts performed again and the event was won by singer Ella Weinman, while second was song and dance group Georgina Worrall, Morgan Newell, Elise Hoskin, Ellie Asparassa and Lauren Davies.

Joint third prize went to singers Robyn Clift and Serena Wilson.

A special 'outstanding performance' prize went to five-year-old Tyler Crocker, who sang Let's Go Fly a Kite 'opera style', which went down a storm.

Some of the performers repeated their performances again with great confidence and to bigger audiences at 'Pembroke's Got Talent' and the Monkton Village Fayre.
