The weather was just perfect and the events ran smoothly, and at a better pace for the three scorers!
Thanks to all who made it a great success including the judges - Clr. Mrs. Cavill, Julie Hurlow and Year 10 students from Greenhill; Matthew Broadhurst for all his help with the sound system; Boots of Lydstep and their team of men for doing the track; Greenhill Year 10 students for helping with the running of the events; the staff for organising the teams and ensuring everyone competed - your time and support is greatly appreciated.
It was great to see so many parents and thank you for all your support. It is hoped you enjoyed the afternoon.
The PTA continued the afternoon with their annual fete.
Cakes and teas were served, as were hot dogs; many stalls enabled the PTA to raise funds for the school.
Thank you also to Year 6 for providing games and activities which also helped boost the funds. The many stalls, included a bottle stall, raffle, a nearly new stall, guess the weight of the cake, guess names of teddies, drop a pea in a bottle, as well as the popular 'I'm a pupil let me out of here' - where children had the opportunity, thanks to Mr. Slack, to meet a friendly snake, complete a night line, put their faces in some porridge and eat some interesting insects!
All these enabled the PTA to raise funds for the school.
A very big thank you to all the parents for their hard work, time and effort put into making the fete a success. Thank you also to all the sponsors for the sports programme and the many gifts and donations that came into the school over the past week.
Wales Sladen

Tenby Junior School's girls and boys relay teams travelled to Brecon on June 5, to compete in the annual Sladen Championship.
The boys finished in third position, while the girls (seen below) won, and are now the Welsh champions, winning the shield for yet another year.
Congratulations to both teams and a very big thank you to the parents who gave up their time to take the children.
